Provincial Stay at Home Order Update

With the current stay at home order on April 7th, we have decided to delay our reopening.

We have closed the Spa for all services and our take-out menu has been suspended.

We ask that everyone stay at home and prioritize their health and safety so that we all can be together again as soon as possible.

We are committed to the safety of our Guests, Staff, and Local Community.

As we continue along this path together, The Briars remains committed to following all provincial and local health guidelines and regulations. We hope that everyone will join us in our pledge to do all we can to protect each other and move safely forward. We ask for patience and understanding as we negotiate the unexpected changes in our experiences and amenities along the way. 

DINING
• Indoor dining limited to 10 people, maximum 4 per table, physically distanced 2 metres. Last call for alcohol is 9 pm, restaurants close at 10 pm.
• All dining is by reservations only. Breakfast 8 - 9:30 am, All-Day Menu Noon – 7:30 pm
• In Room Dining is available 8 am - 7:30 pm
Breakfast orders by 8pm night before, All-Day menu orders placed 1 hour prior to delivery.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES
• The Indoor pool is open 8 am - 9 pm daily with timed reservations. Maximum capacity is 8 people at any one time in pool area. Each person will have a limit of one swim time per day to be fair to all. (Whirlpool, Sauna, Change Rooms are closed) Lower-Level Washrooms open.
• Fitness Room open 8 am – 8 pm daily reserved times only. One person/family at a time.
• Billiards Room and Ping Pong Rooms open 8 am - 9 pm daily by reservation only.
• Programmed classes when available will be set up to meet all physical distancing guidelines and are only available to guests staying on property at this time.
• Spa services are available, though limited depending upon current regulations.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITES
• Tennis Courts are available, reservations suggested. (We suggest you bring racquets/balls; we do have some racquets available to borrow)
• Badminton, Bocce, and other lawn games available for use when you feel like it. Equipment is available to borrow and sanitized.
• Walking Trails on property, walks and bike routes nearby, see front desk for maps and directions. 

The Briars Resort and Spa has been awarded the Safe Travels Stamp for practising the standardized global health and hygiene protocols of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC). The Safe Travels Stamp is an international symbol designed to allow travellers to recognize companies around the world who have adopted the WTTC’s health and hygiene protocols. CONTINUING PROTOCOLS AND MEASURES
• Temperature checks and screening will be conducted for all guests at check-in. Should anyone in your family have symptoms, been in contact with a confirmed or possible Covid case, traveled outside the country or have a temperature of 37.5C or higher, we will be unable to permit entrance as a safety precaution for all our guests and hosts. Guests with a fever or other symptoms will be required to depart the resort, isolate, and seek medical attention.
• All staff will be required to pass a screening check daily before working.
• Face masks are required in indoor public spaces and outdoors when physical distancing is not possible. Including all indoor space at the resort including the hallways, washrooms, spa or in restaurants when not seated.
• All guests and staff will be required to follow Covid measures including wearing face masks indoors, physical distancing, hand washing hygiene, and staying home and seeking medical attention if feeling unwell.
• No stayover housekeeping service (i.e., no daily towel refresh, bed making)
• All guest information will be one time use recyclable paper.
• Frequent sanitization of high touch spots in public areas.
• Social distancing required of all staff and guests.
• Hand sanitizer stations at high traffic areas
• Credit or Debit payment only; no cash transactions
• No shuttle service. 

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?
• Personal supplies of hand sanitizer or wipes
• Your own face masks and other PPE you are using.
• Personal bike helmets
• Board games (we will not be lending any out as they can not be effectively sanitized.)
