Plan your day with The Briars Recreation Guides

The Briars offers a full range of activities and programming for people of all ages.

Guests are encouraged to take advantage of all the activities during their stay and welcomed to uses the many facilities on The Briars' grounds. Find your zen with indoor and outdoor yoga classes, learn to paddleboard on Lake Simcoe and find your stride with snowshoe walks.

During the summer, guests can find lawn games by the manor house lawn, kayaks by the waterfront, and traverse our 100-year-old garden. In the winter months, you can expect skating on the lake, horse-drawn sleigh rides on the grounds and hot chocolate served by the fire. There's something for everyone at The Briars! 


Private Programming

Planning an event, wedding, meeting, or retreat? Ask our event coordinators  about how you can give your group's plans an extra boost by adding private recreation to your itinerary. Popular private program add-on's include:

  • Private group yoga
  • History walks or hikes through our almost 200 acres of forest land
  • Private kayak tours on Lake Simcoe
  • and more!

We'll work with you to find programs that suit your budget and plans so you can make the most of your time at The Briars.
